Samsung DeX is one of the best implementations of a phone or a tablet turning into a full-fledged computer. If you are a heavy DeX user and want an all-in-one dock that has a built-in screen, keyboard, and trackpad, you should have a look at NexDock's updated lapdock, the NexDock 6.
NexDock has announced its newest lapdock, the NexDock 6. It features a 14-inch LCD touchscreen display with WUXGA (1,920 × 1,200 pixels) resolution, an improved brightness of 400 nits, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. It also features an anti-glare coating, making it a good screen for outdoor usage.
The next big upgrade it brings is its massively improved trackpad. NexDock itself admits that trackpads on its previous-generation lap docks were underwhelming, and the newer model has improved performance. Apparently, the company went back to the drawing board to create a large trackpad that is “much more responsive and consistent,” has better palm rejection, and smooth two- and three-finger gestures.
The NexDock 6's dual-2W bottom-firing speakers are also claimed to offer much better (louder and fuller) audio than previous models. They still can't beat Bluetooth speakers, though. It has three USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, and an HDMI port.
The new lapdock has a 38Whr battery that is claimed to offer 6-7 hours of real-world battery life. It can also charge a connected Galaxy phone or tablet with at up to 10W. With One UI 8's new and improved DeX mode, the NexDock 6 should be a great lapdock to have.
Priced at $229 excluding shipping, this product will begin shipping to US customers in early 2026. It will also be available in over 30 countries across Asia Europe and Oceania. The company plans to expand shipping to more countries as their partner shipping firms become available.
