The Odyssey Neo G8 has Quantum Matrix Technology with 1,196 local dimming zones and 12-bit black levels. It takes advantage of a height-adjustable stand that can also swivel, pivot, and tilt. It also features Auto Source Switch+.
Usually, you'd have to pay $1,299 for the Odyssey Neo G8, but it is now available for $899 after a $400 discount. Where applicable, you can also buy the Neo G9 through Samsung Financing for $37.50 a month.
The second offer you might be interested in pertains to the Odyssey OLED G8. Unlike the Neo G8, Samsung's OLED G8 model has a 34-inch QD-OLED ultra-wide WQHD panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It, too, is curved but at a less aggressive 1800R radius.
This 34-inch monitor can reach 250 nits of brightness and offers HDR True Black 400. It features a 0.03ms Gray-to-Gray response time, a refresh rate of up to 175Hz with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and a slim metal design with CoreSync, Core Lighting+, and a height+tilt adjustable stand.
Unlike the Odyssey Neo G8, the curved OLED G8 also offers TV apps and the Tizen TV interface. As such, you can use the monitor independently to stream content and even play cloud-based video games through Gaming Hub.
The Odyssey OLED G8 usually costs $1,199, but it is now available at a $300 discount. You can buy it for $899 outright or $37.50 a month with Samsung Financing.
