Google is continuing to add new features to Google Maps to keep it right at the top. Google has now announced a slew of features that will enhance your Google Maps experience. Live View, one of the best AR features of Google Maps, is now getting a search with the Live View option. Using this feature, you could instantly see nearby places of interest with details such as business hours and how busy the place is.

Moreover, accessing Live View mode on Google Maps is getting faster. A Live View button is now placed in between the microphone and profile switcher icons at the top of the search bar. Tapping this button would immediately launch the Live View mode, highlighting all the nearby landmarks in the distance, with the street names showing at the bottom. There is a ‘Find Places Near You' bottom sheet showing you places specifically “within a 5-minute walk.

Neighborhood Vibe includes photos and videos added by millions of contributors each day

Google is expanding the Immersive View feature to over 250 aerial views of global landmarks across the globe. The immersive view feature will launch in the coming months in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, and Tokyo. There will be a slider at the bottom that will show you details such as weather, traffic, and busyness information using 3D imagery.

Last not but not least, Google Maps is getting the neighborhood vibe feature. This will highlight the popular spots in your location, which would include photos and videos of the places, helping you decide if you should pay a visit or not. The Neighborhood Vibe feature will start appearing on your Samsung smartphones and tablets in the coming months.
