Currently, in Gmail for Android on smartphones, if you want to reply to a mail, you have to click on the Reply or Reply All button in the top-right corner of the conversation, which will bring up a whole new full-screen window, where you can’t refer to the mail to which you are replying. Well, Google is now fixing that issue with a new UI layout.
Google has announced that it is updating the Gmail app for Android with a new user interface. In this UI, when you click on the Reply or Reply All button, a small text input window will appear from the bottom of the screen and sit right below the email to which you are replying. It will allow you to reply to the email while you are referring to it.
The new design looks like the text input field that you see in many instant messaging platforms, such as Google Messages and WhatsApp. If you think this arrangement isn’t good for writing long emails as you will have to scroll a lot in the small text input field, you can tap on the expand button to bring up the traditional full-screen reply window.
The story continues after the video…
Googl is rolling out the new design to personal Google accounts and Workspace Individual Customers and it will take 15 days for the release to complete. To get the new feature, update the Gmail app on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet by going to the Google Play Store. Follow us on Telegram or WhatsApp for more such updates.
