Instead, the new devices continue on the path of refining proven design concepts, bolstering durability, and embracing more sustainability efforts. Samsung did a lot to make the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 better than their predecessors in many ways.
Not only do the new phones have tougher Armor Aluminum frames, better hinges, and less visible foldable screen creases, but they're bound to last longer thanks to an enhanced policy of seven years of OS upgrades and an improved IP48 rating.
But hand-in-hand with these durability improvements walk other efforts that aren't necessarily as tangible or visible to the naked eye. Durability aside, Samsung also made efforts toward eco-friendliness and reusing materials.

Samsung has now extended its recycling efforts to include the latest Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. They are the first foldable phones to use recycled rare earth elements, such as cobalt, for some of their components.
Aside from these bits and pieces, the new phones also employ more recycled aluminum, glass, and plastics, for some of their components. To top it all off, both phones ship in a box made 100% from recycled paper material.
