Samsung's new, widebody Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available for pre-order in the US and will go on sale in a couple of weeks. Here are the official pricing details.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available in three memory configurations. The base model features 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage and starts at $1,899 before any trade-in deals and special offers.
Samsung's new foldable phone is positioned between the Flip and the Fold Ultra. The Flip 8 starts at $1,199, and the Fold 8 Ultra starts at $2,099.
Although unique in its own right, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has more in common with the Ultra than the Flip. It unfolds like a book, albeit a wider one than the Fold 8 Ultra, and transforms into a tablet-like device with a generous 4:3 aspect ratio.
If Samsung describes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra as “A true multitasking machine,” then the wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 is “A reimagined form factor designed around how people naturally consume content.” At least, that's how Samsung describes it.
If you want to be among the first to own the new foldable, the pre-order window for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in the USA should stay open until August 7. If you pre-order early, you might get lucky and receive your Fold 8 in the mail ahead of the August 7 global launch.
