Galaxy Z Fold 7 breaks pre-order record in the USA

Samsung’s latest book-style foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, brings massive improvements over its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, offering the thinnest and the lightest build in the segment and fantastic display, cameras, performance, battery life, and durability, making it one of the best in the market. With that, it has been an instant hit across the world, achieving new sales milestones everyday. Well, it has now broken another sales record.

Samsung has announced that it received more pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the United States of America than every other Galaxy Z Fold device in the history. According to the brand, the pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 were 25% higher than that for the last year’s models. As a part of that, the company says that the network carriers witnessed 60% higher pre-orders for the two devices compared to their predecessors.

Samsung further adds “Since last week’s general availability, momentum for both devices remain strong, with orders continuing to outpace the previous generation by more than 25%. Further, Galaxy Z Fold7 is out pacing its previous model by nearly 50% since availability opened on July 25.”

According to Samsung, with the previous Galaxy Z Fold devices, most people chose the black color. However, that’s not the case with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Its Blue Shadow color made up nearly 50% of the pre-orders. Furthermore, the South Korean tech giant says “With Galaxy Z Flip7, demand for Coralred color option has also beat expectations, making up 25% of Z Flip7 pre-orders.” 

Commenting on the latest achievement, Samsung America’s Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management, Drew Blackard said “Foldables have reached an inflection point as they are becoming a mainstream choice for users. Now on our seventh generation, we’ve addressed consumer feedback year after year and have arrived at the kind of experience you can’t get on any other device. When people go hands-on with a Z series device, they’re hooked — and now it’s all coming together with record-breaking numbers.”
