At the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung unveiled its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The Indian pricing for those devices has been revealed now, and potential buyers might not like the price hike.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 prices and release date for India

In India, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in three variants, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes in two memory configurations. Samsung has started accepting pre-orders for its new phones in India. Their prices are listed below.

Galaxy Z Fold 6

• Galaxy Z Fold 6 (256GB): INR 1,64,999 (~$1,980)
• Galaxy Z Fold 6 (512GB): INR 1,76,999 (~$2,120)
• Galaxy Z Fold 6 (1TB): INR 2,00,999 (~$2,410)

Galaxy Z Flip 6

• Galaxy Z Flip 6 (256GB): INR 1,09,999 (~$1,320)
• Galaxy Z Flip 6 (512GB): INR 1,21,999 (~$1,460)

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes in five colors: Crafted Black, Navy, Pink, Silver Shadow, and White.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is available in seven colors: Blue, Crafted Black, Mint, Peach, Silver Shadow, White, and Yell0w.

You can pre-order them from the company’s official website and the Samsung Shop app starting today. The company will begin shipping those devices starting 19 July 2024.

They will be available to purchase in the country from the two official online platforms mentioned earlier as well as Samsung’s authorized offline stores across India from 22 July 2024.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 pre-order offers in India

There are four pre-order offers on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in India.

1. Instant discount of INR 8,000 (~$96) for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 if you make the payment with 12-month No Cost EMI.
2. Samsung is offering two times complete damage protection worth INR 14,999 (~$180) for just INR 999 (~$12) for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
3. If you buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Flip 6, you will get INR 18,000 (~$215) off on the total order value. You also get the Peakform band for the smartwatch free of cost.
4. If you buy the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or the Galaxy Z Flip 6, you will get INR 7,000 (~$84) off on the total order value. You will also get the Wireless Charger Duo for half its price.

What improvements do Samsung's new foldable phones bring?

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a boxier and sharper design, making the phone look bold and futuristic.

Apart from that, you get newer screens inside and outside that are wider, shorter, and brighter compared to those on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, offering a better user experience. The crease on the foldable screen on the new model is also less visible to the eyes than that on the previous model.

As for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it offers brighter screens inside and out than the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the crease on the foldable display of the new model is less visible compared to that on the older model.
