Samsung’s smartphones with foldable displays from 2023 and 2022, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4, are getting new software updates. They bring the February 2026 security patch, which addresses 37 security issues, making these devices more secure than before.
Currently, Samsung is rolling out the updates to the units of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 that it sells in Korea. The updates come with firmware versions F946NKSS6FZB2, F731NKSS6FZB2, F936NKSS7IZB2, and F721NKSS7IZB2, respectively.
Usually, Samsung releases a new update for a smartphone first in its home country, South Korea, and a few days later, in other regions around the world. Considering that, if you live outside Korea, your phone should get the update in the next few days.
To check if Samsung has made the update available for your Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, or Galaxy Z Flip 4, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. These phones are eligible to get One UI 8.5, and the brand is expected to roll it out to them in the next few weeks.
