Galaxy Z Fold 4 gets served with January 2023 security update

Earlier today, we reported that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has started getting the January 2023 security update. Now, even the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has started getting Samsung’s newest security update in various African, Asian, and European countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 carries firmware version F936BXXS1BWA2. It brings the January 2023 security update that patches dozens of security vulnerabilities, including the ones in Samsung Knox. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.

The new update is available in Afghanistan, Croatia, Egypt, Europe, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the Philippines, the UAE, Tunisia, Turkey, and Vietnam. Other countries worldwide could get the update soon.

If you live in any of the countries/regions listed above, you can download the new software update on your Galaxy Z Fold 4. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
