Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4 get September 2023 security update in the US

Samsung has released the September 2023 security update to the carrier-locked and factory-unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US. Yesterday, the update arrived on the global variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4 get September 2023 security update in the US

The new update for the carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with firmware version F926USQS4GWH9 in the US, and it is available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks. For the factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the new update arrives with firmware version F926U1UES4GWH7, and it is available on all carrier networks.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4's carrier-locked version is getting the new update with firmware version F936USQS3DWH9 on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile's network in the US. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting the new security update with firmware version F936U1UES3DWH7, and it is available on all carrier networks.

The September 2023 security patch fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US, you can now get the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
