Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets May 2024 security update

Samsung has released the May 2024 security patch to the international variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, as well as, to the carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked variants of the foldable smartphone for the United States, which carry model numbers SM-S916B, SM-S916U, and SM-916U1 respectively.

The update that brings the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 changes the firmware version of the international variant to F916BXXS6KXE5, and that of the carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked versions to F916USQS6KXE3 and F916U1UES6KXE3 respectively. The latest security update fixes 45 security issues.

You can get the update by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware files for these phones from our database and install them manually.
