Samsung started teasing its next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, earlier today. While the company hasn’t officially announced the launch date, it may have accidentally revealed it through promotional materials.
In Malaysia, Samsung published details about a special RM700 e-voucher for customers who pre-register to purchase the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, or Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The promotional material states that the voucher can be redeemed only once between July 22, 2026, and October 4, 2026, and cannot be combined with other vouchers.
That strongly suggests that Samsung plans to open sales for its new foldable phones in Malaysia on July 22, the day the voucher becomes valid.

Based on what we know so far, Samsung is expected to hold its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on July 22, 2026, in London, UK. In addition to its new foldable phones, the company is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 during the event.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to use the Exynos 2600 processor in select markets and feature thinner display bezels. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly have a wider form factor than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature a larger 5,000mAh battery and an upgraded ultrawide camera. Both Galaxy Z Fold 8 models are expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.
