After the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung is now rolling out the August 2026 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It fixes 56 security issues present in the previous firmware, making the phone more secure.
So far, the brand has made it available for the variant of the phone that it sells in its home country, South Korea. The update is 402.05MB in size and has firmware version F741NKSS4DZH5 (via Samsung Community).
We expect Samsung to release the latest Galaxy Z Flip 6 update in more countries over the next few days. You can check if the company has made it available in your region and for your phone by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
On a related note, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to get a major software update in the next few weeks, which will offer the company’s latest custom Android interface, One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it offers many UI changes and new features.
