Samsung has started sending out messages to a few existing customers in India about Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 pre-reservation dates. We received a message from a Samsung Experience Store that revealed that the B6 and Q6 smartphones will be available for pre-reservation on June 26, 2024. If you don't know already, B6 is the codename for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, while Q6 is the company's codename for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
While the company didn't reveal further information, pre-reserving the Galaxy Z Flip 6 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will likely come with additional benefits on top of pre-order benefits. Samsung might offer an additional gift voucher or a few accessories for free when the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are pre-ordered after the pre-reservation.
The story continues after our Galaxy Z Flip 5 review video below.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are expected to feature completely flat sides, similar to the Galaxy S24. According to their leaked images and renders, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has sharper corners and a titanium frame, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Both phones will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor and up to 12GB RAM. They could have several Galaxy AI features.
Both phones will likely have a less visible crease, a new hinge, and brighter screens. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 50MP primary rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 could have a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Both could have a 10MP selfie camera (the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could have a 4MP internal front-facing camera).
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to have a bigger battery capacity (4,000mAh) than its predecessor. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to use the same 4,400mAh battery seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both phones could have stereo speakers, an IPX7 rating, a capacitive fingerprint reader, and seven years of Android OS and security updates.
