Three weeks ago, Samsung released the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. However, back then, the new security update was limited to the global versions of the phones. Now, the South Korean firm has released the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip comes with firmware version F700USQU7IWE1, and it is available on Sprint's network in the US. The unlocked version of the phone is getting the new update with firmware version F700U1UEU7IWE1, and this update is available on all carrier networks.

The new security update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G bears firmware version F707USQU5HWE3. It is available on Sprint and T-Mobile networks in the US. The unlocked version of the foldable phone comes with firmware version F707U1UEU5HWE3, and it is available on all carrier networks in the US.

Galaxy Z Flip June 2023 security update: What's new and how to install?

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip or a Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US, you can check for the new software update right away. The update includes the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 50 security flaws found in the previous version of the software. You can check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.

You also have the option to flash the new firmware file manually. To do that, you have to download the appropriate firmware file for your Galaxy Z Flip or Galaxy Z Flip 5G variant from our firmware database. Then, you need a Windows PC and the Odin tool to flash the firmware manually on your Samsung phone.
