Earlier this month, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 that offered Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. In some regions, the new software update offered the September 2024 security patch. In others, it offered the last month’s security update.
Well, in the latter, Samsung is now rolling out a new software update with the September 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, it is a shame that the company is not offering this month’s security update, the October 2024 security patch, which it detailed earlier today.
Samsung is rolling out a new software update to four variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 3: SM-F711B (international), SM-F711U (carrier-locked USA), SM-F711U1 (factory-unlocked USA), and SM-F711N (Korea). The September 2024 security patch fixes 67 security vulnerabilities.

Getting the update is super easy. Just click on the notification you might have received about it. If you haven’t received any such notification, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download it from our firmware section and install it manually using Odin.
Just to remind you, Samsung is developing Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is eligible to get it. The South Korean tech giant will start rolling out the stable version of the new software by the end of this year. Follow us on Telegram or WhatsApp to be the first to know.
