Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Flip 4 get June 2023 security update

Samsung has released the June 2023 security update to two more foldable smartphones: Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Other Galaxy Z series foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 4, have received the update already.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Flip 4 June 2023 security update: What's new?

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is getting the new security update with firmware version F711BXXU5EWF1 in the UK. The Galaxy Z Flip 4, on the other hand, is getting updated with firmware version F721BXXU3CWE6 in the UK. The update includes the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. The update doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the UK, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update section of your device and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in 2021 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in 2022. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 was launched with Android 11 onboard and received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 was launched with Android 12 onboard, and it received the Android 13 update in late 2022.
