In the Wear OS smartwatch market, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch models have been offering one of the best sleep-tracking performances. However, the brand says that these wearables may not measure your sleep properly sometimes and has provided a few solutions to fix the problem.
On Samsung’s Community forum for Korea, the company confirms that the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra may not track your sleep accurately sometimes and has provided two solutions to fix the issue, with a third fix on its way.
If you are someone who thinks that their Galaxy Watch isn’t tracking sleep properly, Samsung says that the first solution you should try to fix the problem is to turn your wearable off and then turn it on. In other words, the tech giant is asking you to restart your wearable. You can turn it off by pressing and holding the power/home and back buttons simultaneously and then tapping on ‘Turn off.‘ To turn it on, press and hold the power/home button.
If that solution doesn’t work for you, Samsung suggests that the Power Saving mode could be the one causing the problem. As such, it asks people to turn it off. If it is already off, the brand says that users should turn it on and then turn it off to make sure that it is really off. You can find this option by going to Settings » Battery.
Lastly, Samsung says that it will soon release an update to the Samsung Health app that will fix the problem. As such, it asks people to keep the app updated. You can check for its updates by going to Galaxy Store » Menu » Updates. However, the brand hasn't provided any information about when it will release the update.
