Last month, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE that offered One UI 8.0 (Android 16). Initially, the brand offered it to the international non-cellular and cellular variants of the tablet, and now, the company is offering it to the carrier-locked version of the tablet for the US.

Samsung seems to be rolling out the update to devices running on T-Mobile’s and Verizon’s networks. The update is 2,748.80MB in size and carries firmware version X518USQUADYK1 (via Reddit and Verizon). The update also packs the November 2025 security patch, which fixes issues listed here.

If you have a carrier-locked Galaxy Tab S9 FE for the US running on the T-Mobile or Verizon network, you can get the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung may be rolling out the update to devices running on other networks as well.

One UI 8 brings a new user interface and plenty of new features, giving your device a fresh breath of life. You can check them out in our video below. On a related note, Samsung is expected to release One UI 8.5 soon, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is eligible to get it.
