Samsung is rolling out a new software update to its flagship tablet from 2022, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. It offers the February 2025 security patch. You can check out the issues it fixes here.
The South Korean tech giant has made the security update available for the non-cellular (Wi-Fi-only) and cellular (5G) variants of the tablet that it sells in all the countries around the world. They have model numbers SM-X900 and SM-X906B. Their firmware versions are X900XXS9CYB1 and X906BXXS9CYB1.
Samsung may be rolling out the update in phases. It means that some might get it now and some later. To check if the new firmware is available for your device, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also head to our firmware section, download the firmware, and install it using Odin.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is eligible to get Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0. It offers a vastly redesigned user interface, many new features, and even smoother animations. It should give your tablet a fresh breath of life. Samsung is running late with One UI 7 roll out and it should arrive in the next few weeks.
