Over the past couple of months, Samsung has been busy rolling out the One UI 8 update. Just yesterday, it released the update to four phones, and now the company has released the One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, its most recent rugged tablet.
The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro in European countries. The new software update comes with firmware version X356BXXU3BYJ4 and has a download size of over 2GB. It includes the October 2025 security patch as well.
If you have a Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro and live in Europe, you should check for the new software update right away. You can do that by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro earlier this with Android 15 (One UI 7.0) onboard. It promised to offer four major Android OS and One UI updates to the rugged tablet, and has released one of those four updates. In the future, the tablet will get three more major software updates.
One UI 8.0 brings a redesigned UI for Quick Share, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Weather. It also brings more actions and conditions to Modes and Routines. Calendar, Clock, and Reminder get more bulk management features for calendar events, alarms, and reminders.
