Samsung is rolling out the first software update to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro after releasing One UI 6.1 to the tablet in May. The new one brings the August 2024 security patch which fixes 50 security issues, making the company’s rugged tablet safer than before.
The company has made the new firmware available for the international variant of the device, which has the model number SM-T636B, across the globe. It has the build number/firmware version T636BXXS7CXH1. So, except for South Korea, if you live anywhere in the world, your Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro should notify you about the update anytime now, if it hasn’t already.

For those of you whose device didn’t alert about the new security update, head to Settings » Software update » Download and install. It is possible that some people might not get the update even after checking for it manually. Those people might have to wait till Samsung makes it available for your device. If you are eager to get it, you can download it from our database.
Samsung has kept the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro in the quarterly security update schedule. That means the next security update to the tablet should arrive by the end of this year. Follow us on Telegram or WhatsApp to get the latest updates about everything Samsung.
