Samsung says it occurs when taking macro shots in the 24MP mode with 2x zoom.

Samsung’s latest non-foldable flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, offers one of the best rear camera setups on the market. However, the phone's users have discovered a strange issue when taking photos with it, and Samsung has now confirmed the problem and says a fix is on the way.
Soon after Samsung made the Galaxy S26 series available to purchase, people noticed that when taking a photo of an object close to the lens with Focus Enhancer enabled, the final image appeared cropped from the right or bottom corners compared to what was shown in the viewfinder.
On Samsung’s Community forum in Korea, a moderator confirmed that the issue exists (via Sammy Fans). According to the post, it occurs when taking close-up or macro shots in the 24MP resolution mode with 2x zoom enabled. The moderator also said that Samsung will fix the problem with the next software update for the phone.
Speaking of software updates for the Galaxy S26 series, in an unexpected move, Samsung has released the second software update for the Galaxy S26 series in April in Korea and the US. Currently, there’s no information about the changes it brings. You can get it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
