Those who pre-ordered a Galaxy S25 series phone will start getting their devices delivered today. Now that the phone has started reaching customers, we have the first teardown video. It showcases the internals of the Galaxy S25+ and reveals that the phone is slightly easier to repair.

Galaxy S25+ is slightly more repairable than Galaxy S24+

The first teardown video of the Galaxy S25+ was published by PBKReviews. The person disassembling Samsung's new phone says that the company has used a slightly improved battery pull pouch, making it easier to remove the battery. This new design makes the phone slightly easier to repair.

You can watch the Galaxy S25+ disassembly video below.

After removing the SIM tray, some heat needs to be applied to the phone's back glass (Gorilla Glass Victus 2) so that the adhesive used to stick the panel to the phone's frame can be loosened up. Once that is done, a pry tool can be used with a suction cup to remove the back panel from the phone's frame.

The rear camera's protective lens covers and rings can be removed by applying heat. The battery is covered by a Qi wireless charging coil enclosed in a black envelope. The components can be removed after disassembling 21 Philips screws.

Beneath the wireless charging coil cover, you can see three ribbon cables that connect the main board to the sub-board. The battery ribbon cable also needs to be disassembled.

After removing the bottom back plate, you can see the phone's loudspeaker and the linear haptic feedback motor. Since the phone is an IP68-rated device, its SIM card tray and loudspeakers are sealed with rubber gaskets.

Once the battery is removed using the redesigned pull tabs, you can see the battery and its details printed on the back.

The top earpiece speaker assembly has the earpiece speaker and an antenna on the corner. After removing two board connectors, the main board can be removed. It has three rear cameras, two of which are optically stabilized. There is also an LED flash and a microphone on the board.

Turning that board upside down reveals an ambient light sensor, another microphone, and the proximity sensor. There is a graphite pad on the back. Removing it reveals the thermal pad, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is below it. Below the processor, there is RAM and storage.

As claimed by Samsung, the GalaxyS25+'s copper vapor chamber is slightly bigger than the one used in the Galaxy S24+. The vapor chamber spans from the chipset to the battery.

Two Philips screws need to be removed to remove the sub-board from its place. The sub-board has a primary microphone, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM card slot. The Galaxy S25+ might have an mmWave antenna in some regions.

Putting the phone back together is as easier as it was earlier. While battery replacement is slightly easier compared to last year, it hasn't affected the overall repairability score. PBKReviews gave the Galaxy S25+ a repairability score of 9/10, which is similar to that of the Galaxy S24+.
