Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the international variants of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. It offers the October 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues. The update is currently live in Thailand.
This is the first software update for the international versions of the three phones after the brand offered them One UI 8.0 (Android 16). It is 561.43MB in size and carries firmware version S93xBXXS6BYIF, as you can see in the screenshot below (via @Wvisioncreation).
To update your Galaxy S25 with the October 2025 security patch, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect Samsung to release the update in other regions in the next few days.
The next major update for the Galaxy S25 series is One UI 8.5. Recently, it leaked for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which reveals that it not only offers many visual changes, but also many new features. Samsung may debut it with the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026.
