This isn't just a dummy device. The display is turned on, so this is the real deal, and a notable thing here is the slim bezel. In addition to the slim bezel, the picture gives us a glimpse of the phone's rounded corners.
Last year, Samsung ditched curved screens by equipping all Galaxy S24 models with a flat display. This year, Samsung is getting rid of the Galaxy Note-like boxy design it has used for the Galaxy S Ultra models since 2022. It's a welcome change, as the lack of curves on the Galaxy S24 Ultra's display combined with the square corners made one-handed use rather uncomfortable.
Don't worry if you are an S Pen fan. Samsung isn't getting rid of the stylus: the S Pen will still sit on the left side of the phone in its cosy slot, as revealed by previous leaks. There may come a day when Samsung starts selling the S Pen separately for the Galaxy S Ultra lineup, like it does for its foldable Galaxy Z Fold smartphones, but that's not going to happen this year.
The Galaxy S25 lineup will go official on January 22. Initially, three models are expected, each with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powering it in every country. A fourth model, dubbed the Galaxy S25 Slim, is in the works but is likely to arrive a few months after the base, Plus, and Ultra models.
