After releasing the third beta version of One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra last month, reports claimed that the fourth beta update will be released in mid-January 2026. However, that fourth beta update has arrived now, more than a month after the release of the third beta update.
Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 Beta 4 update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Currently, the company is rolling it out in its home country, South Korea. We expect the update to be released in other countries later today where the One UI 8.5 beta program is available. The update is 1.5GB in size and carries firmware version ending ZZAL.
To get the update, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Note that this firmware is available only for those people who have enrolled their compatible devices in the One UI 8.5 Beta Program.
Samsung is expected to start rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.5 to eligible devices soon after launching the Galaxy S26 series, which will arrive later this month. You can check out our views on the new software in our video below.
