The One UI 8.5 beta update removed two camera modes from the stock Camera app on Galaxy phones. And the Galaxy S25 FE was one of the phones that was affected with this change with the first beta release. However, Samsung has brought back one of those modes, Dual Recording, via the Camera Assistant app.
Samsung released the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25 FE last week, and the company's forum moderators have confirmed that users who have installed the update can restore the Dual Recording camera mode using the Camera Assistant app. You can learn how to do that by clicking here.
Camera Assistant is Samsung's first-party app for Galaxy phones and tablets. It allows users to make certain changes to the stock Camera app's behavior or alter its tuning according to their preferences. The version 4.5.00.13 (or newer) of the app has a section that offers two options: Dual Rec and Single Take. Enabling those toggles restores the respective modes in the stock Camera app on a Galaxy device.
Once the option is enabled, you can find Dual Rec mode in the More section of the stock Camera app.
Samsung could release a few more One UI 8.5 beta updates to the Galaxy S25 FE before releasing the stable version after a few weeks.
