With the Galaxy S25, Samsung introduced a feature in One UI 7.0 that offers users a better understanding of the health of their phone's battery. However, this feature appears to be available only in some countries.

One UI 7.0's extended battery health data is available on Galaxy S25 in select countries

Earlier this year, we reported that the Galaxy S25 can display detailed battery information such as battery health percentage, cycle count, manufacturing data, and the date the battery was first used. However, that feature was only available in Europe when the phone was launched. Now, the feature has expanded to more countries.

You can see that in the screenshots below.

When the Galaxy S25 was first shipped, the devices running the November 2024 security patch did not display detailed battery information. However, after installing the February 2025 update, more users have started seeing that information. We can't find that feature on our Galaxy S25 series phones in India, even after installing the February 2025 update.

So, it appears that Samsung isn't offering that feature worldwide—or at least, the feature isn't available everywhere right now. Hopefully, Samsung will provide detailed battery information in all countries worldwide.

This feature is based on Android 14's battery-related APIs, which pass on information such as the battery's manufacturing date, date of first use, charging policy, health percentage, charge cycle count, and current charging status to the system or apps that have permission to use BATTERY_STATS.
