TL;DR

  • Samsung has started a wider rollout of the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series after launching it in South Korea last week.
  • The update is now available for Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra users in India.
  • For now, it is limited to devices enrolled in the One UI 9.0 Beta Program, but it may reach all users soon.

After releasing the stable update for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea last week, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update more widely. The update is now available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra in Europe and India.

Currently, the update bears firmware version S92xBXXU6EZIF and is limited to users who enrolled their phones in the One UI 9.0 Beta Program. However, as is typical with these releases, it could roll out to all other users within the next few hours.

If you own a Galaxy S24 series phone and live in any of the regions listed above, you can check for the new firmware on your device. Open the Settings app, scroll down and tap Software update, and then select Check for updates.

The update will begin downloading if it is available for your device. Once it finishes downloading, tap the Restart now button to complete the installation process. Make sure your phone has at least a 30% battery charge so the software can install without interruption.
