Galaxy S24 series starts getting the stable One UI 8.5 update

In March, Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, giving users early access to its latest Android customizations and a host of upgrades. Now, almost a month and a half later, the company has ended the beta program and released the stable version of the new software.

Galaxy S24 gets stable One UI 8.5 update in Korea

Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in its home country of South Korea. The update has a download size of over 4GB for users on the stable version of One UI and 371MB for One UI 8.5 beta users. It carries firmware version S92xNKSU5DZOP. While Samsung has not revealed when it plans to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S24 series in other countries, it could happen later this week.

What is new with Galaxy S24's One UI 8.5 update?

Along with all the upgrades included in Android 16 QPR2, One UI 8.5 introduces a refreshed user interface. While design preferences are subjective, we think the new UI looks cleaner and more modern. It also brings AirDrop compatibility to Quick Share and newer and improved Galaxy AI features.

Samsung has also made the software more customizable, giving users greater control over the overall experience.
