    Next Galaxy S24 One UI 7 beta update could make fingerprint unlock lightning fast

    Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owners lucky enough to be using the beta version of One UI 7.0 were waiting for the next beta update to drop in 2024, and they continue to do so in 2025. The Galaxy S24 series has received two One UI 7 beta updates, and the third one is reportedly scheduled to drop sometime in the first week of January.

    While the wait for the third beta update continues, we are getting a teaser for some of the improvements it will bring thanks to Ice universe on X. One of those improvements include faster unlocking using the fingerprint scanner, which you can watch in the video below.

    The main improvement here seems to come from the faster transition animations when the phone is locked and unlocked. It's also worth noting that the phone in the video has Always On Display enabled so its screen isn't fully turning off. Without Always On Display, fingerprint unlock may not be any faster than it is right now.

    We guess we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves once the next One UI 7 beta update arrives on the Galaxy S24 lineup. That could be sometime this week, as mentioned earlier, and we'll be sure to let you know about it as soon as the update starts rolling out.
