Samsung started rolling out the May 2024 security patch to the company’s smartphones and tablets with the Galaxy S24 series. Initially, the tech giant made the security update available for the carrier-locked variants of those devices, and then to the international and carrier-unlocked versions of those smartphones. Now, Samsung is rolling out the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S24 lineup in the brand’s home country.
Samsung has released the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in South Korea. It fixes 45 security issues. The update that brings the latest security update to three devices changes their firmware version to S921NKSS2AXE1, S926NKSS2AXE1, and S928NKSS2AXE1 respectively.

If you have the Galaxy S24 and live in South Korea, your phone should notify you about the update any moment now. If it doesn’t, you’ll have to resort to checking for the update manually, which you can do by opening Settings, scrolling down and selecting Software update, and then tapping the Download and install option.
