Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 series at its Unpacked event in San Jose, California, on January 17. The company started taking pre-orders for the new handsets that same day with a global release slated for January 31.

That day has now arrived. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra have gone on sale globally today. Even if you didn't place a pre-order, you can walk into a store today and get your hands on one of Samsung's best phones yet.

Samsung has seen strong pre-order performance from its new lineup. The Galaxy S24 series has received the highest-ever pre-orders for any Galaxy S flagship series in South Korea at 1.21 million units in a single week. 60% of these units were accounted for by the top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Strong pre-order demand has also been noted in other lucrative markets such as India. The company expects to sell as many as 36 million units of the Galaxy S24 series by the end of this year, making it the first flagship series since 2019's Galaxy S10 to surpass 30 million units sold.

Samsung has reiterated that the Galaxy S24 has achieved double-digit growth in pre-orders compared to last year's Galaxy S23. More than 65% of customers have preferred buying the more expensive Galaxy S24 Ultra, highlighting Samsung's ability to sell more units of its most premium model.

As the initial rush subsides, the company will continue to provide compelling offers to customers to increase sales of the Galaxy S24 series. As always, you'll find the best deals on Samsung's own website, including the highest trade-in rates for your existing devices.
