Since the month began, Samsung has updated many of its smartphones with the April 2026 security patch. That includes the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S24 series. However, while the brand offered it to the base, Plus, and Ultra models, the company didn’t extend it to the Fan Edition devices. That’s finally changing.
Samsung has released software updates for the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE in South Korea. They offer the April 2026 security patch, which fixes 47 security issues. The update for the former carries firmware version S711NKSSEDZCH, and that for the latter carries firmware version S721NKSSBCZD2.
To get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect Samsung to release the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE in other countries in the next few days.
Both devices are eligible to get One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), which offers a newer user interface and many additional features compared to One UI 8.0. You can check out the key changes it brings in our video below.
