The International variant of the Galaxy S24 FE (SM-S721B), the one that Samsung sells in many regions, including Africa, Asia, and Europe, is getting a new software update carrying firmware version S721BXXS5BYF1. It brings the June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues that you can check out here.
To update your Galaxy S24 FE with the June 2025 security patch, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, you can head to our firmware section, search your device, download the latest firmware on a Windows PC, and then use Samsung’s Odin tool to install it on your smartphone.
The update’s changelog also says, “After the update, when “Auto Blocker” is on with “Maximum restrictions”, USB devices will not be allowed to connect to this device except charging.” However, this isn’t a new change. A previous update had offered this upgrade.
Speaking of software updates, the Galaxy S24 FE is eligible to get Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which brings many upgrades that you can check out here. Currently, the South Korean tech giant is testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. Unfortunately, there’s no information about when Samsung will release it to the Galaxy S24 FE.
