It's no secret that Samsung has been working on Android 15 and One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 lineup. But one of the Galaxy S24 series phones showing up in a benchmark running the next version of Android and One UI suggests that Samsung may have hit an important milestone in the development process.
However, this doesn't mean that the update will be here soon. Before Android 15 and One UI 7, Samsung has One UI 6.1.1 to deal with. One UI 6.1.1 will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10 and will be ported to existing Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones and select non-folding smartphones.
But there's no telling when that will happen. Because of Galaxy AI, Samsung needed additional time to bring One UI 6.1 to older devices. The same may apply to One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7, as both will introduce new Galaxy AI features.
It's all speculation for now, though, so we're not losing hope for a quick One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7 rollout just yet.
