At the time of writing, the Galaxy S10 Lite, model number SM-G770F, is getting firmware update G770FXXS3BTG2 in Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Trinidad and Tobago. Meanwhile, the August 2020 security patch is rolling out to the Galaxy A50 (SM-A505FN) as firmware version A505FNXXS5BTH1 across many European countries including Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and more.
The changelog is straightforward as the firmware doesn't bring any significant changes to these two devices, aside from the August 2020 security patch, of course. And since neither Samsung nor Google have detailed the August 2020 security patch yet, needless to say there's not much to write home about this update.
As always, the new security patch will gradually become available in more countries for both the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy A50, so keep an eye on your notifications for an update prompt. You can check manually for the update by launching Settings on your phone, accessing Software update, and tapping Download and Install. Or you can refer to our firmware section for the Galaxy A50 and/or Galaxy S10 Lite, download the firmware, and flash it on your phone using a PC.
