A major leak has emerged today, giving us our first look at the Glasses Manager app. This is the app that you'll use to pair Samsung's smart glasses with your mobile device and control its various features.

The app's code has revealed some interesting information about how Samsung intends to use the Galaxy Ring as a gesture-based controller for the smart glasses.

Deep integrations being planned with Samsung's other wearables

The leaked app is a clear indication that the groundwork has been laid for Samsung's smart glasses to hit the market. There will be quite a bit of variety for customers to choose from.

Samsung collaborated with Qualcomm and Google to launch smart glasses in partnership with eyewear brands Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. Samsung is developing its own Galaxy Glasses which it may also release later this year.

The leaked app's code has references which hint at integration with the Galaxy Ring. They reveal that users will be able to control various features of the smart glasses using finger gestures.

The ACTION_GLASSES_START and ACTION_GLASSES_STOP strings suggest that taking pictures or videos with the smart glasses may be as easy as pinching fingers together when you're wearing the Galaxy Ring.

Samsung also sees wider integration with its smart watches. There will be a dedicated controller app pre-installed on Galaxy smartwatches through which easy access to the glasses' core features would be possible.
