It has been close to two years since Samsung launched the first Galaxy Ring. There were rumors that the company could unveil the second-generation model in 2025, but that did not happen. Now, the first set of details about the Galaxy Ring 2 have surfaced.

Galaxy Ring 2 could focus on improved accuracy and battery life

A new report from ETNews claims that Samsung is working on the Galaxy Ring 2, but it is not expected to launch in 2026. The company is reportedly considering a release sometime after early 2027, with a possible announcement during the second-half Galaxy Unpacked event in 2027.

According to industry sources, the Galaxy Ring 2 will focus on improving health and fitness tracking accuracy, comfort, and battery life, which the most important aspects of a smart ring. The first-generation Galaxy Ring offers up to seven days of battery life, while the next-generation model could reportedly last up to 10 days on a single charge.

The new wearable is also expected to bring improvements to skin temperature tracking, sleep analysis, and cardiovascular health monitoring. In the long term, Samsung is reportedly working on bringing non-invasive blood glucose monitoring to the Galaxy Ring lineup.
