Samsung Galaxy A55 Software Update - Source: Abhijeet Mishra / SamMobile
The international variant of the Galaxy M56 is now receiving a new software update in India. It brings the much-awaited One UI 8.5. This marks the start of Samsung’s rollout of the new software for the device. Based on Android 16 QPR2, One UI 8.5 introduces a refreshed user interface along with several new features and improvements.
The update weighs 2,284.80MB and carries firmware version M566BXXU5CZE2. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect the brand to complete the rollout globally in a month or two. In the meantime, you can check out the complete list of changes it brings (official changelog) here.
Earlier this month, Samsung also unveiled One UI 9.0, its latest Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It brings visual changes as well as new features. You can check them out in action in our video below.
Considering that Samsung launched the Galaxy M56 with One UI 8 and promised to offer it six major OS upgrades, the phone should be eligible to get One UI 9.0. However, the brand hasn't said anything about it yet officially.
