Now that Samsung has released the Android 14 update for all of its high-end smartphones and most mid-range smartphones, the company's focus has shifted to its entry-level smartphones. Another entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy M13 5G, has now started getting the Android 14 update.

The Galaxy M13 5G is now getting the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in India. The update comes with firmware version M136BXXU5DWK7 and has a download size of 1.65GB. It also includes the November 2023 security patch, which is a bit disappointing considering that it is now January 2024, and Samsung could've included at least the December 2023 security patch with the new software update.

One UI 6.0 features for Galaxy M13 5G

One UI 6.0 brings several new features and UI design improvements to the Galaxy M13 5G. Based on Android 14, the new update includes a brand-new Quick Panel layout, a new default font, new styling for emojis, and a new design for the media player widget that's visible on the lock screen and the notifications area. The new design features a waveform animation that looks stunning.

Samsung has also added more styling, sizing, and placement options for the lock screen clock widget. Samsung has also updated all the stock apps, including Gallery, Internet, Messages, Phone, Reminders, and more. The Gallery app shows quick image editing suggestions on the file information screen. The built-in photo editor now features more prominent editing controls. The built-in video editor has been renamed to Studio, and it supports drafts so that you can come back and continue editing your videos.

The South Korean firm has also removed the term ‘Samsung' from the names of most of the stock apps. Several other features have been added, and you can watch them in our in-depth One UI 6.0 video below.
