The Galaxy F52 5G looks nothing like the A52 in leaked hands-on photos

Samsung's Galaxy F52 5G has been spotted in a few hands-on photos, and needless to say, the phone doesn't quite look like a rebranded Galaxy A52 5G. It has an Infinity-O display design with a corner cutout, a camera housing that doesn't look quite as good as the Galaxy A52's camera bump, and once again, unlike the A-branded hero device, the Galaxy F52 5G appears to have a glossy back panel.

The differences don't stop with the exterior design. The source claims that the Galaxy F52 5G has an HD+ TFT LCD display instead of an AMOLED panel, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. But on the other hand, the Galaxy F52 5G should sport the same Snapdragon 750G chipset as the A52 5G, and a 64MP main camera.

The selfie sensor is said to have a 16MP resolution. The device should be powered by a 4,350mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities.

Don't hold our breath for a high refresh-rate display

Assuming that this information is true and the Galaxy F52 5G has a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel then it's very unlikely for it to support a high refresh rate. And since the phone looks so different on the outside, it is possible that it also lacks an IP rating. These are two of the best characteristics of the Galaxy A52 5G.

All in all, the Galaxy F52 5G is far from a rebranded Galaxy A52 5G, but that's not really a point in its favor unless Samsung plans on selling the F-branded phone for an incredibly-good price.

The last piece of this leaked puzzle suggests that the Galaxy F52 5G runs Android 11 / One UI 3.1, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and it will go on sale in at least three color options: dark blue, white, and gray. Check out the Galaxy F52 5G photo gallery below and feel free to share your thoughts. Let us know what would compel you to buy the Galaxy F52 5G over the Galaxy A52 5G.
