    Galaxy F15 5G is Samsung’s cheapest phone to get four Android OS updates

    Samsung has launched a new affordable phone, the Galaxy F15 5G, in India. It is the company's most affordable smartphone that will get four major Android OS updates. It has a big OLED screen with a high refresh rate, a huge battery, fast charging, and 5G connectivity.

    Galaxy F15 5G launch date and pricing in India

    The Galaxy F15 5G will be available for pre-order starting at 7 PM today. General availability will start from March 11, 2024. The phone can be purchased from Flipkart, Samsung.com, and other authorized retailers across India. It will be available in three colors: Ash Black, Groovy Violet, and Jazzy Green.

    The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy F15 5G is priced at INR 15,999 ($193). The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs INR 16,999 ($205). Samsung is offering a cashback of INR 1,000 if the phone is purchased using select credit or debit cards.

    The phone doesn't come with a charger in the box, but those who buy the Galaxy F15 5G in the early sale can get the 25W Super Fast Charger worth INR 1,299 ($16) at just INR 299 ($4).

    Samsung Galaxy F15 5G Battery Capacity

    The Galaxy F15 5G has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a 6,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone comes with Android 14-based One UI 6.0 out of the box. It will get four major Android OS updates, which means it should be updated to Android 18.

    The phone has a 50MP primary rear camera with autofocus and VDIS (Samsung's version of EIS for videos). It also has a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera. The Galaxy F15 5G's primary rear and front cameras can record Full HD (1080p) videos at 30fps.

    It has GPS, a dual-SIM card slot (with 13 5G bands), Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features Voice Focus for clearer voice calls, Smart Hotspot for easier Wi-Fi hotspot, and Knox Vault chipset for improved security.
