The Galaxy F04 at Flipkart costs INR 8,999 ($110) after a 25% discount. Without this price reduction on day one, the phone would cost INR 11,999 ($147). Prospective buyers can buy the phone in one of two color options: Opal Green or Jade Purple.
There's only one memory configuration available, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. And make no mistake; even though the promotional material mentions 8GB of RAM, in reality, it's 4GB of RAM and the inclusion of RAM Plus, which allows you to convert up to 4GB of storage into RAM for a total of 8GB to improve multitasking.
The Galaxy F04 also has expandable storage of up to 1TB. But as usual with Samsung phones, the memory card can be used to store photos, videos, and other files but can't serve as extra storage for mobile games.
Other specifications include a 6.5-inch HD display, a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, a dual rear-facing camera combo comprising a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor, a 5MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
Needless to say, the Galaxy F04 is a budget phone, and this characteristic is also reflected in the choice of OS. The phone runs Android 12 and One UI 4.1. It should get two major OS upgrades over its lifetime. With that in mind, the Galaxy F04 should run One UI 5.0, eventually, but that probably won't happen soon after launch.
