TL;DR

  • Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds On in South Korea first, with an October 27, 2026 release date and a KRW 299,000 price.
  • Retail listings in parts of Europe suggest a wider international launch may be close.
  • The clip-on earbuds use an open-ear design and feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform, up to 9.5 hours of battery, and Samsung audio tech.

Samsung unveiled its first clip-on style wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, earlier this month.

The company had only provided pricing and availability information for South Korea initially, but it appears that a global launch just might be around the corner.

They're launching in South Korea only first

The Galaxy Buds On differ from Samsung's other wireless earbuds as they don't block the ear canal. That's what makes them very comfortable to wear for extended periods as well.

They are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform chip, and offer up to 9.5 hours of battery on a single charge. Quality audio is assured through Samsung's TwinBoost speakers and Audio Leakage Reduction technology.

Samsung had initially confirmed that it will begin selling the Galaxy Buds On in South Korea starting October 27, 2026 for KRW 299,000 which is roughly $220. It did not say when the clip-on earbuds would be released internationally.

While it still hasn't confirmed those details, retailers elsewhere have now begun listing the earbuds. Some European retail listings have been spotted by SammyGuru, with listings in Switzerland pricing the Galaxy Buds On in the range of CHF 179 ($216) and 199 ($241).

The fact that listings are going up in other markets should give hope to eager buyers that Samsung won't make customers outside South Korea for too long to get their hands on the company's first clip-on wireless earbuds.
