Remember Clippy from Windows XP? Well, it finally has a successor. After releasing a slew of new AI-powered features to Windows 11 devices, Microsoft has unveiled a cute new AI character that you can speak to. You can also use it for learning and take its help to complete various tasks on your Galaxy Book (or other Windows 11 devices).

Microsoft's Copilot gets a cute face called Mico

Microsoft has announced that it is bringing a face to Copilot, its AI-powered assistant. It is called Mico, and it appears when you use Copilot's Voice Mode. It is a colourful blob that reacts in real-time and has been designed to be expressive, warm, and most importantly, customisable. It responds to you by using more than just voice. For example, it can change its animations, colours, and expressions.

Mico adapts to you, which Microsoft thinks will encourage you to use Copilot more. You should feel more like you are talking to a friend. It supports over 40 languages. X user @testingcatalog discovered an easter egg that temporarily turns Mico into Clippy if you tap on it continuously.

It is similar to Google's Gemini Live, which means it can see what you see on your screen and hear what you say. It can use natural language to talk to it, get information from the web, control apps on your computer, draft emails, get advice, automate tasks, and a lot more.

Microsoft is turning it on by default, and it is coming to devices running Windows 11 in the USA. You can turn it off if you don't like it.
