The Galaxy A56 was one of the first phones to get access to the June 2025 security patch. However, the update was limited to Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Now, more regions across the world are getting the new update for the Galaxy A56.

A new software update is rolling out to the Galaxy A56 in Asian and Latin American countries. The update carries firmware version A566EXXS4AYE5 and includes the June 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security loopholes found in the previous software version. As it is just a security update, it does not bring any performance improvements or new features to the mid-range phone.

If you have a Galaxy A56 and live in any of the countries mentioned in the list above, you can check for the new update and install it. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the downloading process is finished, tap the Install now button to start the installation process. The phone will then restart after a few minutes.
You can also download the new firmware file from SamMobile's firmware database and flash it manually on your phone using the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A56 earlier this year with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 onboard. Samsung promised to release six major Android OS updates and security patches for seven years to the phone. Its first major update will come in the form of One UI 8.0. The company has already started testing the update and could release it before the end of this year.
