Samsung is a rolling out a software update to the Galaxy A53 5G. It offers June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues.

Last month, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy A53 5G that offered the much-awaited Android 15-based One UI 7.0. which brought many new features. Along with it, the update also packed the May 2025 security patch. Now, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy A53 5G that makes it more secure with the June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues.
Samsung is rolling out the update to the international and European variants of the Galaxy A53 5G, which have model numbers SM-A536B and SM-A536E, respectively. The new firmware files for these devices carry versions A536BXXSFFYEA and A536EXXSFFYEA. You can get it by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install, or by going to our firmware section, downloading the firmware, and installing it manually using Odin.
Samsung is testing Android 16-based One UI 8.0 on the Galaxy S25 series, which brings many new features. Once the testing is complete, the brand will start rolling out its stable version to all the eligible devices. The Galaxy A53 5G is eligible to get the update. The company may first offer it to newer and high-end devices and then to older and more affordable devices. Considering that, the Galaxy A53 5G may not get One UI 8 anytime soon.
